Kamieńczyk Waterfall
The biggest waterfall of the Polish Sudetes
Kamieńczyk Waterfall is the highest waterfall of Polish Sudetes. Water falls here with three cascades from a height of 27 m. Behind the middle one – there is a hidden “Golden Grotto”, a small cave carved in rock by Walloons. Originally it was a place where amethysts and other stones were extracted. Below the waterfall one can admire the breathtaking Kamieńczyk Gorge with a wall height of up to 30 m. These imposing granite vertical walls happen to inspire the filmmakers of “The Chronicles of Narnia” a movie theatre blockbuster, who shoot some of the scenes right here.
